You May Not Be the Listener You Think You Are + Discerning Truth and Error in the Media

Episode Summary

Many of us think that we are good listeners because we can paraphrase what we heard and can engage in meaningful conversation. But is this all there is to listening well? What are the factors that make for good listening? Why is it important to become better listeners? How will listening well impact my relationships? How will it change the person that I am becoming? Listen in as Linda Penn and Lisa Orimoto have a conversation about the significant role that listening plays in our daily lives. Dr. Lisa Orimoto is a clinical psychologist and coach who has worked with individuals, couples, and families to improve their communication and relationships and facilitate their emotional well-being. She currently works for Right on Mission as a teacher, Life Mission Statement Writer, and Strategic Futuring Guide.
