Linda Penn talked to two men who have family experience. Scott Haima is President of Christian Service Brigade, father of 3 sons and one daughter. Jim Walton is the President of The 3rd Choice. He is an ordained minister with 35 years of ministry experience and a father of 2 daughters and one son. Together they asked the hard questions with practical, helpful focus on this awesome task for fathers and the direct influence and impact a father can make on their children. Scott is the President of CSB Ministries, a ministry that for over 78 years has been building godly men of today and tomorrow. Passionate about mentoring and discipling boys and young men, Scott has served in all areas of leadership in CSB Ministries largest ministry – Christian Service Brigade (CSB). Raised in the Detroit, MI, then Buffalo, NY area – Scott thrived growing up in Royal Rangers, a ministry very similar to CSB, even earning its highest award, the Gold Medal of Achievement. Before answering the call to full-time ministry in 2010, Scott served for six years in the US Air Force, then as a professional in finance, serving in various capacities at Praxair, Price Waterhouse Coopers, Buffalo Sabres Hockey Club, and Merchants Insurance Group. “Mentoring and discipleship isn’t hard, it just takes time. The first step in being an effective mentor – is just showing up, and being there. Quality happens in the middle of quantity.” Debra Minotti continues her conversation with Linda Penn on why we need to support the scriptures toward the Jewish people as God commands and be a part of the solution against antisemitism and help Jews fulfill their Allyha.
